St. Clare Terrace is an adaptive reuse renovation of a women’s religious dormitory into a 59 unit assisted living community. Horizon acted as the developer and design build contractor. Horizon was also responsible for obtaining the construction and permanent financing for the nonprofit owner. This six story building was first gutted to its interior structural elements which allowed us to construct the 59 new assisted living apartments. In addition to the units Horizon installed a new commercial kitchen and renovated an architecturally significant chapel. St. Clare Terrace is an excellent example of a green and sustainable adaptive reuse.
