Watertown Memorial Hospital contacted Horizon in 2003 to investigate the possibility of our providing senior housing within their market share. Horizon has proven expertise and is recognized as a leader in senior housing development in Wisconsin.

In order to prove the project's feasibility, Horizon first analyzed the market to determine the type of product that would succeed in the market and still meet the needs of the hospital.

We found that the demand for affordable senior housing in the Watertown market was very high. With the hospital's guidance, a full service senior development was planned to include numerous product types, and when all phases are completed, will provide housing for more than 200 seniors.

The 49-unit senior housing apartment building slated for Phase I development is complete, and as Horizon predicted, reached complete occupancy immediately. Horizon and Watertown Memorial Hospital have moved forward and completed duplex apartments and an assisted living community on the same campus.

The hospital stated that they were most pleased with the fact that Horizon offers complete services from project planning to design to financing to construction.
