Catholic Charities
Although our contract exempts us from the liability of poor soils, Horizon paid $50,000+ when poor soils were encountered.

St. Clare Terrace
Although Horizon was not responsible for the leasing of St. Clare Terrace and thus not liable for vacancy shortfalls, we felt responsible to our client that the management firm, the owner and us collectively were not doing their job. Horizon and one of its principals contributed $75,000 to hire a separate marketing staff to get the job done.

First Lutheran
Although the client signed off on the plans and specifications of the building we contracted for, a number of small to medium items came up during the construction process. Horizon, without the knowledge of the client, spent $30,000 and paid for those items.

Academy Apartments
Horizon had a contract to rehab a 100+ year old building for a very tight fee. Horizon took a loss on the project in order that it be done right and provided a product we could be proud of.
